Who: Punx and Skinz Unite - lotsa bands @ Kiama
Date: May
Reviewer: Azie Derailed

Finally a review that i think every one can relate too, thats right
im talking about the punks and skinz kiama show.
although this show is a bit late, this show defintly deserved one.
The first band to hit the stage weas the sutherland shire boys, "for
arguments sake". these guys rarely venture out of the sydney region, so for
those of you actualy got to hear em live, consider your self lucky!!!
secondly we had a band that i have been growing up with and known
all my life, that of coarse would be "UPFRONT". The nicest guys in the scene
and just recently played a show with the american rock stars the ataries.
"tenfold" were next and they pulled a pretty decent crowd, doing an
awsome cover of rancids, warsaw. they played an awsome show.
"thougt crime", what can i say?.... one of my faveroute local bands.
although ive known the lads for a while now, this was the first time i
actualy got to hear em live... bloody brillant.
Next we had "topnovil". an excellent band, and a big thank you to daim
for letting me using his bass amp-cheers.
Although the flier said the last hamroids were playing, we got the net
best thing, little dave, bass player from TLH has another band called skam.
Coming out of sydney these guys were an awsome ska band with some bloody
catchy tunes.
another sydney band... the hhippie crits went off. they are also another
band i seriously respect and look up too. they played it fast and loud, like
it should be!!!!!
NOW- we have finally gotten to a band that rock every time they play
live... thats right, "ruckus" ive known these guys for a while now and have
been to most of there shows. they have truely captured the punk spirit, by
braking away from that "oh so boring and shity" rancid wanna bands.
As we almost conclude the day we come to the second last band... "THE
DERAILED". we once again saw a pretty damn good response from the crowd and
were quite happy with the effort we put in and the response we got back,
(considering we were the only skinhead band that played on the night)
last and defintly the least, "RUN FOR COVER", an absolute chaotic
display of five drunk punx going at it hard.... good work!!!!!
so all in all id like to say that the kiama show turned out to be an
exciting day. (especialy cuz it was free) and a big thank you too all the
bands for turning up and to the people who made the effort to even go.
CHEERS AND BEERS..... azie derailed
