The style that is Royal Crown Revue is unsurpassed in contemporary times. Using vintage equipment to record this album shows that they are dedicated to giving fans swing the way it should be and the music reflects this, with awesome vocals and even better sounds. "Watt's Local" is the best swing song of the year no question. The tune is so catchy its nearly impossible to get out of your head, but unlike a top 50 song I don't want to get it out of my head. "Watcha Doin' Tonight" is another classic as is "Hey Sonny". I know I say this about a lot of albums, but I love the whole thing - every track. You can't stop moving throughout the whole record and it is obvious I'm not the only one as this was voted the favourite album of last year at www.swingawards.com |
