Than Jake What can I say, not really my thing. I do like some of the horn melodies and the jumpy ska guitar on some tracks, but the lyrics are poor, as if they were done in the morning to record in the afternoon. Less Than Jake are quite a popular ska-punk band and I’m sure many would like this album, but if they’d built on the couple of good songs on the album the CD could have been half decent. “All My Best Friends are Metalheads” and “Five State Drive” are good songs, but in contrast “Richard Allen George...No, It’s Just Cheez” is one of the worst songs I’ve heard for a while. |
