The Bluekilla Weekend Review

"You are becoming a man," Emily and Ruffy told me on day two of the Dizzybeat Bluekilla diary on the way to Newcastle. At least not an old man like those Backy Skank guys I thought. (Sorry Simon, but you asked for it). There was truth in the comment however. Bluekilla's second Sydney show coincided with my 18th birthday and after a year of being limited to Greensquare Hotel for the majority of my live ska experience I was at last able to enjoy the benefits that came with being legal.

After the first show I knew I had to see Bluekilla again (and again) and with Backy Skank also playing the whole weekend turned out to be one to be remembered forever.
